2015 Acura TLX Test Car Identified on Morning Commute

We are sometimes blessed with fortuitous circumstances. It seems that editors over at Motor Trend embraced one of those moments when they unwittingly came across a 2015 Acura TLX that was in the midst of a road test. They excitedly snapped a few photographs, shared below, and noted the minimal camouflage on the model, which is typically indicative that production versions will closely mirror the prototype displayed at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. This comes as no surprise, though, considering the overwhelmingly positive reviews it received.

The editors found only minor changes that may differentiate the production model from the prototype:

  • Slightly less chrome across the body
  • A more subdued trunk lid
  • Less bold sculpting along the lower bumper
  • More conventional side-view mirrors

Its front end, however, will likely still have the masculine air dams and Jewel Eye LED headlights – as seen on the road-test model.

The 2015 Acura TLX will reach the showroom floors by mid-2014. For more information regarding the TLX, you can read our blog post about it or stop down at Leith Acura Cary to speak with one of our knowledgeable brand ambassadors.
